Question by Jaws: How can I be certified to teach biology in Kentucky or other southeastern states?

I will have my MS in biology in a year and I may be considering teaching high school biology. I have never had any education courses. Is it possible for me to get a job as a teacher? I hear there is a shortage of science teachers? Is that true or is it a myth? All answers will be greatly appreciated.

You may obtain an emergency certification from a district in DIRE need of a teacher and you must, under these circumstances, promise to work on obtaining your certification. But, for most schools your secondary certification must be obtained, which isn't that difficult, just a few education classes and tests.
