Question by Outside the Box: What to expect when giving a reference for a friend to adopt a dog?

A couple I'm friends with put me down as a reference to adopt a dog from a rescue. What kind of questions should I expect to have to answer? My friends are great people, though they have never independently owned an animal (just family pets when they were younger, though I didn't know them then). I would love for them to get the dog, so I'm just wondering what to expect.

Probably generic question

How long have you known them
Have you ever seen them abuse an animal
Have you known them to have any animals in the house
Possibly, "Do they have a fenced in yard"..if that's a requirement
"Kids under the age of 10, or something"
